Adult application
The BSA has recently changed its sexual orientation policy from its membership-defined definition of “homosexual behavior”, to the one used to define the Scouts today. The new policy defines “same-sex conduct” as “any romantic or sexual activity between people of the same sex that would be considered inappropriate for a parent or guardian to approve.” To comply with the policy all BSA units would have to begin accepting non-traditional sexual orientation relationships beginning January 1, 2013. If you are a leader or scoutmaster who accepts a same-sex applicant as a Scoutmaster or adult leader, we want to hear from you! We've created an application you can use to provide information supporting your decision to participate in the BSA program. In addition, the BSA's national headquarters has created a page where you can provide your contact information. If you want to volunteer your time to help spread the word about this.
